  Valérie Dalian , dancer

Valerie was born in France and emigrated in Quebec in June 2000.

She always dreamed to be a dancer and started ballet lessons when she was 5 years old. From ages 10 to 18 she moved on to modern-jazz dance and joined the modern dance troupe at her high school.

Valerie was introduced to Khadija during a workshop with Magdy El Leisy (Germany). Following a couple of dance session with Khadija, she was asked to participate in the May 2006 show and to then join the Tywalline rehearsals to enrich her learning. She was finally nominated as a Tywalline member in December 2008.

In November 2006, along with a few other members of the Tywalline, Valerie had a chance to participate in the second Cairo Seminar entitled ‘Dance of Egypt,’ which was exclusively for teachers and professionals and given by renown masters such as: Mrs Farida Fahmy and Mr Mahmoud Reda, founders of the National Egyptian troupe : ‘The Reda Troupe’.

Thanks to the amazing knowledge, generosity and dynamism that Khadija has been sharing with her troupe, Valerie has been able to meet masters of the oriental dance world and she hopes to be able to dance for many more years!
